OPPORTUNITY FUND PROVIDES $736,000 IN GRANTS TO THE ARTS AND SOCIAL & ECONOMIC JUSTICE

PITTSBURGH, PA, December 20, 2018—The Opportunity Fund announces support totaling $736,000 in its sixth cycle of funding. The Board of Directors funded 53 out of 134 requests that were seeking a total of $2,155,839. Including the current grant cycle, the foundation has awarded 286 grants totaling over $3.6 million since its inception in 2015.

Opportunity Fund gives grants for arts and social & economic justice. Letters of inquiry for the Spring 2019 cycle are due on January 15, 2019. In advance of that deadline, join us for informal, small-group (max 15) gatherings to meet with Program Officer Tiffany Wilhelm, learn about our focus areas and process, hear insights about how to prepare a strong application, meet other applicants, and ask any questions you may have. This session is designed for people and organizations who are new to Opportunity Fund’s process or applying for grants in general.
