Latino Community Center‘s mission is to Empower, Advocate with and Celebrate Latinos In Allegheny County. The LCC works with newly arrived or established Latino/a/x individuals located across Allegheny County, Pennsylvania. This includes children of all ages, the elderly, single mothers, LGBTQI+, non-English speakers, people with disabilities, and other marginalized groups. The majority of individuals they serve are first generation living in mixed status, economically disadvantaged, low-income households.
$20,000 to support a pilot program that leverages Allegheny County-provided data to expand our representation of current and former foster youth in summary offense cases before magistrate district judges (MDJ). Our current 70% success rate in these cases helps our clients avoid fines and criminal records which become barriers to employment and housing.

The Human Services Center Corporation improves the quality of life for children, adults, and families in the Mon Valley area. We accomplish this by: promoting and supporting a collaborative network of providers within and outside the walls of our multipurpose center; serving as a bridge between human service organizations and those who develop policies and funding that impact the quality of life in the Mon Valley area; monitoring community needs and initiating innovative strategies to fill service gaps; and providing essential services to both community members and human service organizations.
