Kelly Strayhorn Theater (KST) is a home for creative experimentation, community dialogue, and collective action rooted in the liberation of Black and queer people. KST has a dynamic footprint in Pittsburgh, with two venues running along Penn Avenue. KST’s Alloy Studios is a cultural hub at the intersection of Friendship and East Liberty, and the historic Kelly Strayhorn Theater is located in the thriving business district of East Liberty. More than 20 years after the founding of the theater, KST continues to use its broad reach to impact the contemporary arts and the community.

The Mattress Factory

$7,500 to support the development and growth of programming and materials relating to upcoming Mattress Factory exhibitions, including “2019 Factory Installed,” the Greer Lankton Archive and “2020 Factory Installed.”

The Mattress Factory is a museum of contemporary art dedicated to providing artists, from Pittsburgh, the U.S. and the world, with the space, materials, assistance and freedom to explore new ideas, take artistic risks, engage the community and create remarkable works of art that help us see our world in new ways. The museum 1) provides artists with an integrated residency and exhibition program, 2) educates and encourages people to appreciate the multi-disciplinary creative process of today’s artists, and 3) energizes its urban community through its artistic and education programs.

View is a dynamic Center for Arts and Culture based in the Adirondack region. Our mission is to enrich, educate, entertain, and inspire.
An explanation: “dynamic” refers to the energy, updated, relevant programming and positive, enthusiastic atmosphere. “Center for Arts and Culture” includes aspects of targeted community center, arts center, cultural center, and an ingredient of ecology/nature of the Adirondack region that differentiates us from other centers. Our mission relates to members, tourists, year-round and seasonal residents, but also artists and artisans.

sisTers PGH is a transgender centered drop-in space, resource provider and shelter transitioning program based in Pittsburgh, PA. SisTersPGH, Corp offers outreach, accurate transgender education, trans inclusion training, advocacy, and emergency housing/shelter for transgender people of Pittsburgh.
