Amplifying the histories, expressions, and cultures of overlooked societies. They firmly believe in the power of storytelling to bridge communities, spark dialogue, and bring about social change. By excavating what is unique and atypical, they strive to challenge the status quo and push artistic boundaries, providing thought-provoking experiences that entertain, educate, and inspire.

Created with visiting Black artists and arts workers in mind, a welcoming, comfortable and luxurious space will ultimately be a long term solution to Pittsburgh’s short-term housing needs for Black creatives visiting Pittsburgh.

Dreams of Hope for Hatch Arts Collective and Casey Droege Cultural Productions

CDCP and Hatch Arts Collective (fiscally sponsored by Dreams of Hope) will host a spectacle performance with Little Amal, an international art project. Amal is a 12-foot puppet of a 10-year-old Syrian refugee child who has become a global symbol of human rights, especially those of refugees. CDCP + Hatch are creating one of four local events to host Little Amal while in Pittsburgh this fall. This particular event will be located in Wilkinsburg.

Off the Wall Productions is acting as fiscal sponsor, to support a workshop of “In Our Time: Pandemic Stories from the Frontlines” a new play by Hiawatha Projectinspired by interviews with women ICU doctors on the frontlines of COVID, and Hemingway’s novel, In Our Time.  Hiawatha Project creates original performances by interrogating social justice questions through myth, free association, and movement.
