Community Kitchen Pittsburgh

$10,000 to support the provision of student classroom materials, training incentives, and supports that help CKP’s impoverished clients complete the training program. CKP provides culinary training and job placement services for adults experiencing barriers to employment.

Community Kitchen Pittsburgh uses food as the foundation to change lives and strengthen communities. CKP provides freshly prepared, healthy contract food services to schools, managed care companies, and other nonprofits, as well as catering services and prepared foods. Their programming–both their workforce training program and our youth education work–are integrated into these business lines. CKP’s culinary training program and transitional employment workforce program target individuals who have barriers to employment.
